On 25 May, 2008 he signed a five year contract at Dynamo Kyiv. In August 2007, he also earned himself his first call-up to the Croatian national team and made his international debut on 16 October 2007 in a friendly match against Slovakia. He also scored his first international goal on his debut, netting the second goal in Croatia's 3-0 victory. Vukojević was often nicknamed "Dinamo's Gattuso" because of his style of play. References
