Jorge Miguel de Oliveira Ribeiro (born 9 November 1981 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese footballer defender. In april 2008 he signed a contract agreeing to sign for Benfica, after a season in Boavista, and going to the club on July 1,2008.On February 4, 2007 he played his first Superliga match for Desportivo das Aves against Braga. He is the younger brother of Nuno Ricardo de Oliveira Ribeiro better known as Maniche.
International Career
He made his debut for senior national team at November 2002 against Scotland. In October 2007, he was again capped as a replacement of right back Bosingwa for the qualifying matches against Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan on the 13 October and 17 October respectively. He has been capped 8 times by the Portuguese national team and is a member of their UEFA Euro 2008 squad and his brother isn't.[1]
