Marcos António Senna da Silva (born 17 July 1976 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian-Spanish football player for Villarreal who plays in midfield. He is known for his great passing range and long shooting ability and is also a penalty specialist.

Senna plays for Villarreal CF, and since moving to the club from São Caetano in 2002, has helped them as far as the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. He was granted Spanish citizenship in early 2006, and was part of the Spanish squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup despite being Brazilian by birth.

Before the 2006-07 season, Manchester United were interested in bringing Senna to Old Trafford.[1] However nothing came of the deal and a year later United signed midfielder Owen Hargreaves who plays with a similar style to Senna's.

On 27 April 2008 Senna scored a goal from inside the center circle against Real Betis in La Liga.[citation needed]

Senna was named in Spain's Euro 2008 squad. He was a part of their opening Group D, 4–1 victory against Russia on 10 June 2008 at Tivoli Neu, Innsbruck.
